Unpredictable Winds, An Enduro Attempt and Bright Sun

Unpredictable winds kept a lot of nylon on the ground early in the day

The Wild Hog himself, Gordie Wensley, made his annual appearance

Chris Masters left a cold and snowy New Hampshire to attend her first SBBB

Eddy Petranek gives the British television crew, on location filming
extreme sports for the Discovery Channel, a lesson in quad line kite flying

After a two hour hold for lack of wind, the 50 mile Enduro got underway at 2pm
(Halfway down the first leg the wind died, stranding the pilots for some time)

Fran and the other officials ponder the status of the race as the film crew
rolls tape
(The race was eventually postponed to a later date and the pilots worked their
way back in)

The spectators were kept amused by the pilots attempts to keep their kites aloft

As soon as the race was postponed the winds returned
with a vengance. Dave Dyer tried out Gordie's Libre buggy
and JoJo traction kite. New equipment in your future, Dave?
